Solar Panels for Business

Top 5 Reasons Why Businesses Should Go Solar

By Thomas Stuttle, JTM Marketing

Whether you are looking to reduce your company’s electric bills or simply trying to be more environmentally friendly, JTM Electrical and Technology has great news to share. JTM is excited to be implementing solar panels into its business. Going solar provides various benefits that can improve your business in many ways, both economically and environmentally. If you are looking to be a part of the Green Initiative, consider going solar to save money and avoid fluctuating energy costs. From reducing your carbon footprint to lowering electricity bills, here are the top five reasons to consider going solar:

  1. Avoid Rising Energy Costs

To start, electricity costs are constantly increasing across the country. By switching to a solar energy system, business owners pay a fixed price that saves them from future increases in their electricity bills.

  1. Increase Your Property Value

Future buyers are more willing to pay a higher price on the property in exchange for little to no utility costs. Owning a solar energy system assists in attracting buyers.

  1. A Return on Your Investment

Business owners have seen a substantial return on their investments in solar energy systems, with the average American solar purchaser receiving a return of 20% or more.

  1. Job Opportunities

According to The Solar Foundation’s annual Solar Jobs Census, the solar industry employs over a quarter-million people. This industry not only increases jobs in the community but also improves the local economy around the country. However, economic values are not the only reason why going solar is the right decision.

  1. Environmental Benefits

As the environment continues to suffer from carbon emissions, solar panels help eliminate this risk. A single solar panel system can wipe out up to three or four tons of carbon emissions every year. Solar panels have the ability to sustain the environment and reduce the carbon footprints for every business in America. By reducing dependence on fossil fuels, Americans can help keep the planet clean through renewable energy. The reduction of fossil fuel is crucial as crude oil is noted as the largest source of U.S. energy imports. By eliminating the abundance of crude oil production, Americans can live a healthier life through pure, renewable energy.

These five key observations shed light on how going solar can provide a multitude of benefits to business owners around the country. The opportunity to reduce costs and help the environment are major causes of the solar energy system industry increasing each year. Join the movement towards renewable energy and make a productive change for the future by going solar.

Cash registers /technology upgrades

JTM Electrical & Technology Powers Technology Upgrades at 300 Stores for National Discount Retail Chain

JTM Electrical and Technology, a national commercial and industrial electrical company, has delivered electrical services at 300 stores for a multiyear refresh program for a national variety store chain.  At each customer site, the electricians disconnect power to cash registers and rerun power to new registers.  They have a short window to complete the job, starting only after the stores close and finishing by midnight. For several years, JTM has successfully accommodated the required overnight schedule, to ensure all stores can remain open without interruption, and employees can seamlessly transition to the new cash registers the following business day.

In addition, JTM electricians are installing power or relocating power throughout the store for beverage coolers, ice cream coolers, break room and ATMs. While on site, they also check and replace all interior and exterior lighting.

JTM has continued to be a reliable partner to the general contractor overseeing the refresh, deploying local electricians to customer sites across the country, including 27 in the past year during COVID-19 lockdowns and travel restrictions.
